Excavators have blocked off the path to the juniper. There is now a deep groove in place of the road, the trees are cut down except for one birch and a heap of macadam fills the site where I used to video film the view over the bay and the bird shed towards the Old Räntty island. The path continues as before after the heap, as if nothing had happened. But the deep excavation changes the scale of the landscape; it is no loger easy to see what has been where. I recognised a sprig that used to meander on the ground below the birch. Now it grows on top of a gravel ridge. Obviously many things can happen to a stationary being, too. - One can reach the juniper through a detour, however, by turning right and walking over the cliffs. And admire the blue pipes, which are striking in the autumn landscape in their own way, and probably not there on display for long either.
