Komeita katajia sisäsaaristossa - Beautiful junipers in the inner archipelago

Saaristossa on komeita katajia, ei vain ulkosaariston matalia kellanvihreitä kallioille levittäytyviä varpuja vaan ylväitä tummia sypressin kaltaisia puita. Yhden pienen sellaisen valitsin sunnuntai-iltapäivän seurakseni, kun en päässyt Harakkaan tutun katajani luokse. Ja nautin suunnattomasti siitä, ettei yksikään lokki tai hanhi tullut valittamaan, kaakattamaan tai kirkumaan ympärille.

There are beautiful junipers on the islands; not only the low growing lighter green shrubs of the outer archipelago that spread out on the cliffs, but proud, dark cypress like trees. One of those, a small one, I chose as my companion for this Sunday afternoon, when I could not visit my ordinary juniper on Harakka. And I really enjoyed the fact that no seagulls or geese were complaining, barking or shrieking around us.
